Congratulations to Holly Sweeting

Holly was featured by the Columbia County News-Times (Augusta, GA) for being chosen for the All-Area Team and helping lead her team to the state playoffs for the 1st time in 4 years.  She has a great story about how she came back from a torn ACL that she got in March of this year and is now leading her High School team.

We love Holly- her smile, personality, work ethic, and desire to compete.  She is a perfect example of a Magnum athlete.

Keep up the good work Holly!

Read her story here.

Congratulations to Alli Bell!

Alli was chosen as an AVCA Phenom for the 2014-15 season.  The Phenom list is a watch list of highly skilled juniors players who are being looked at to potentially be an AVCA All American as Seniors.
Alli is on the AVCA Phenom list because she is a great setter and also because she played on the USA High Performance A2 team this summer as the starting setter.  She led her team to an undefeated record while they competed against teams from across the nation and even from outside of the US.   To the left is a picture of Alli with  Ogonna Nnamani former Stanford player, former USA National player, and current USA HP Coach that she met during her training.

Alli is the 2nd player that Magnum has had play on the A2 team.

We are proud of Alli and what she did this past summer!

Congratulations to Carly Bland

Carly was the Augusta Chronicle Fall Sports Player of the Week.
Carly is the Captain of  Aiken High and has helped lead the team to an undefeated record in the Region.  Read about it here.

Congratulations to Bijonae Jones

Bijonae was chosen as the WLTX Player of the Week for the week of Oct 8th.  That's 2 Magnum volleyball players in a row!
Bij is a senior from our 17 Mizuno team last year and will be headed to Wofford University this fall to play volleyball.
I had the privilege of coaching her as a freshman and knew back then she was something special.  Her drive and work ethic are unmatched.

We are proud of her!

Congratulations to Shayla Phillip

Shayla was the WLTX Player of the Week for the week of Oct 1st.   She is a senior and will be playing at Samford University this fall.

I met this girl as a freshman at the RNE summer team camp that I did for them and knew that she was going to be special.  She played on our 17 Mizuno team last year and has become a dominant force as a middle hitter and blocker.

You can see her WLTX video by clicking here.
